I believe the mourning process is entirely individual. Not only that, but it also depends on a wide array of factors; our personality, our relationship with the person, the circumstances of the loss, to name but a few. In other words, we cannot predict how we will behave, how long we will feel the way we feel; each loss and reaction is entirely different and unique.
Not everybody passes through the stages of grieving in the same way, and some may find it hard to even start. I work to support people, helping them to reach an acceptance, while working through the physical and emotional pain of loss. This ultimately leads to freedom and the ability to move forward.
Alongside the talking therapy approach, I incorporate various techniques to help you gain control and remain focused, easing you through the day, but at the same time allow you to get in touch with your feelings and loss, and eventually a positive freedom for the future.

I started practising Stress Management within the clinic in 1990. Whilst still working in the sphere of stress management, I sought a deeper understanding of the psychological process in relation to mental health.
This led me to undertake my degree in Psychology followed by my second degree in Counselling. The additional education and more specialist training in various schools of psychology allowed me to expand the repertoire of therapeutic techniques and now practice Counselling and Psychotherapy for a wide range of emotional, psychological and relationship issues.
